Happy Anniversary Dreams

Its a cake!! And a pillow!! This pillow cake is a carrot cake iced in cream cheese frosting and covered in buttercream fondant. Made for Renee and Jeff's anniversary, this cake features the numeral 8 (for year 8) repeated over and over in royal icing. Gumpaste leaves and calla lilies make up the centerpiece and cradle a set of wedding bands. A whimsical sugar cookie butterfly adorns one corner while the pearlized plaque sums up the cake with the phrase "Always kiss me goodnight..." Happy Anniversary!

Baby Jordan

This cake was made for a baby shower to herald the upcoming arrival of baby Jordan. The bottom tier is a half chocolate, half french vanilla layer cake filled with a rich almond custard. The top tier is a white cake with a lemon blueberry buttercream filling.

Butterfly Embroidery

One of my favorite cakes - chocolate with a fresh blackberry buttercream filling - this fondant covered cake displays a gorgeous technique known as brush embroidery. And it has butterflies! What more could one want?!

My best friend, Bethy, is a librarian with a love for all things literature - what better way to celebrate her birthday than with an open book displaying our birthday wishes!? This chocolate cake covered filled with a fresh chocolate raspberry filling and covered with almond buttercream is really an open book lying in a field of flowers!
